We want to use all the material we produce. That is why we use our own leftover yarns. The LAB T-shirt is made of this material, which would otherwise go to waste. The T-shirt, made of recycled cotton and recycled plastic bottles, has raglan sleeves, a straight cut and a normal-length hem. The rib around the neck opening is narrow. A water drop is printed on the back at the neck This unisex model is sold using men’s measurements. Women should choose one size smaller than usual.
Compared to an equivalent product made from virgin materials, making a T-shirt from recycled materials uses 99% less water and generates 50% fewer CO2 emissions.

Production process
Collecting and sorting waste
Pure Waste products are made of 100% recycled raw materials. The main raw material, cotton cutting waste, is collected from cut, make and trim (CMT) factories and then sorted by quality and colour.

Recycling
Each quality and colour batch is mechanically opened into fibres. The colour of the waste defines the colour of the final product. No dyeing is needed.

Blending
The mechanically opened cotton waste is mixed with chemically recycled polyester fibres from PET bottles.

Spinning
The mixed fibres are spun into yarns. This part of the process is the same as when spinning fibres from virgin material.

Knitting and weaving
The yarns are knitted or woven depending on the final use of the fabric.

Finishing
Depending on the final use of the fabric, the finishing process can include different stages such as compacting, brushing and washing.

CMT
This process consists of the cutting, making and trimming of the final product.

Finally, we get sustainable good quality garments that use 99% less water and generate 50% fewer CO2 emissions in the production process than similar products made of virgin materials.
